Text of resolution states that Indian govt is running malicious campaign


Islamabad: The Senate unanimously passed a resolution against the recent Indian aggression.
A meeting of the Senate was held under the chairmanship of Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, in which Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar presented a resolution against the recent Indian aggression, which was unanimously passed by the Upper House.
The text of the resolution states that we reject the allegations of linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident. The Indian government is running a malicious campaign and should be held accountable for terrorism in other countries, including Pakistan. Pakistan will continue to support Kashmir.
In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Indus Water Treaty cannot be suspended unilaterally; it is written in the treaty that if it is to be terminated, it will be done by consensus.
Water is the lifeline of 240 million Pakistanis. The National Security Committee has said that suspending water will be tantamount to war, he stated.
Speaking in the House, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Shibli Faraz, said that the resolution has sent a joint message to the enemies of the House. India has been waiting to see how to harm Pakistan. India's desire to defame Pakistan has not been fulfilled. India has opposed us at every international forum.
