Indian flights face major delays as Pakistan airspace remains closed

(Web Desk): Following the Pahalgam incident, Indian airlines' flight operations remain severely affected today, on the fourth consecutive day of Pakistan’s airspace closure for Indian aircraft.

According to aviation sources, 33 long-haul flights arriving in New Delhi and Amritsar faced delays ranging from 2 to 9 hours. Flights from Delhi to Almaty operated by a private airline have been canceled for the third consecutive day.

A special flight carrying the Indian Vice President back from Rome also had to take a long detour to reach the capital, Delhi.

Eight flights arriving in Delhi from New York, Toronto, Vienna, and London were delayed by 3 to 9 hours. Flights from Dammam, Frankfurt, Birmingham, Paris, and Milan to Dubai also experienced delays.

Flights to Delhi from Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Washington, and Chicago faced unusual delays. Flights from Tbilisi, Paris, Jeddah, Doha, and Tashkent to Delhi were delayed by 2 to 7 hours, while flights from London and Dubai to Amritsar took longer routes and were delayed by up to 2 hours.
