SSGC is working to repair the damaged gas pipeline, which is expected to take three to four hours

(Web Desk): A fire broke out near Jubilee Cinema in Saddar, Karachi, earlier today due to a gas leak in a sewerage channel and a short circuit in a K-Electric cable.
Emergency services responded quickly to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
To reduce the risk, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) shut off the gas supply from its Transmission and Distribution Stations (TBS) at Mazar-e-Quaid and Civil Hospital. This was done to avoid further danger from the gas leak and fire.
SSGC is working to repair the damaged gas pipeline, which is expected to take three to four hours. Because of this, gas supply has been temporarily cut off in areas including Jubilee Cinema, Soldier Bazaar, and Jamshed Road.
SSGC has assured that gas services should be fully restored by 4 PM today, unless there are any delays.
