Fortunately, there have been no reports of deaths or property damage in Swat

(Web Desk): A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck Swat and nearby areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday afternoon, sending tremors across the region.
According to geological engineer Muhammad Rehan, Pakistan is located on three major tectonic plates — the Arabian, Euro-Asian, and Indian plates — which creates five seismic zones in the country.
This earthquake follows another tremor that was felt on April 19, when a 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, affecting parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab, including Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
Today, the National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the 4.4 magnitude earthquake had its epicenter in Hindukush, with a depth of 185km. People in Swat and surrounding areas were frightened by the tremors and quickly left their homes, reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Fortunately, there have been no reports of deaths or property damage in Swat.
