Agreement aims to accelerate blockchain innovation, stablecoin adoption, and the integration of DeFi systems in Pakistan

Islamabad: A memorandum of understanding was signed in the federal capital between the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC) and World Liberty Financial, a decentralized financial platform backed by former US President Donald Trump.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the agreement aims to accelerate blockchain innovation, stablecoin adoption, and the integration of decentralized finance (DeFi) systems in Pakistan.
The statement added that a delegation from World Liberty Financial — including Zachary Folkman, Zachary Witkoff, and Chase Hero — held high-level meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership.
These meetings involved the Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Information, and Minister of Defense.
The purpose of these meetings was to formalize cooperation in promoting blockchain innovation, stablecoin usage, and decentralized finance within Pakistan.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar stated that this marks the beginning of a new era of investment and growth in Pakistan’s crypto and digital finance sectors.
