(Web Desk): Police have arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed and her husband, Atiq, near Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
A heavy police presence, including multiple vehicles, was involved in their detention. The couple was taken to an undisclosed location for further processing.
The arrest happened after a court hearing related to the May 9 cases, which Sanam Javed had attended.
She was previously linked to the political unrest during the May 9 incidents, which led to legal actions against several PTI members.
Authorities have not yet revealed the exact charges against the couple.
