Islamabad: Pakistan’s import in June 2021 has touched a record high of $6.28 billion.

According to a Commerce Ministry document, imports from China on a year-on-year basis in June rose by 4% to $1.79 billion, compared to $1.23 billion in June 2020.
Last month, imports from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) increased by 122% to $658.7 million, compared to $296.1 million in June 2020.
Similarly, in June 2021, imports from Brazil increased by 92% to $314.3 million and in June 2020 imports from Brazil were $163.5 million.
Per the document, imports from Indonesia increased by 90% last month to $307.7 million from 16 162.3 million in June 2020.
Imports from Saudi Arabia rose 338% to $307.4 million in June 2021, compared to $70 million in June 2020.
On an annual basis in June, imports from Oman fell by 23% Kenya by 28%, Canada by 7%, Belgium by 30% and Switzerland by 12%.
