Lahore: As many 304,349 people have been inoculated against the coronavirus throughout the province in the last 24 hours, provincial Secretary, Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Sarah Aslam said Tuesday.

While chaiting a meeting, the secretary assessed the upcoming congregations on Eidul Azha. It was told that 118 mobile vaccination camps would be providing special vaccination facility to the visitors and on spot certificate will be provided to them.
During review about daily activities of Covid-19 across the Punjab, she said an increase in Covid infection rate is alarming and people should get vaccinated while complying to SOPs.
She said yesterday 200 new cases had been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 348,509. Until now 328,969 patients have been fully recovered across the province while the number of active cases is 8,708.
During the previous 24 hours, six more deaths in Lahore and total 10 deaths have been reported across the province, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,832. Yesterday 16,470 test samples were taken while a total of 5,860,581 tests have been taken so far. Last day 89 cases were reported in Lahore, 59 in Rawalpindi, 11 in Multan, Rahim Yar Khan 6, and 6 cases are reported in Sialkot, 4 in Bahawalpur, 4 in Chakwal. Whereas in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Muzaffargarh, Nankana sab, Pakpattan, Sahiwal and in Sheikhupura respectively 2 cases are reported till date.
Yesterday, the average positivity ratio of Covid was 1.3 in all the cities across the province.
The provincial capital Lahore is recorded with a positivity ratio of 3.4, 1.7 in Rahim Yar Khan, in Sialkot 0.7, Bahawalpur 1.1 and in Muzaffargarh 2.4 positivity ratio is reported. In this regard Secretary P&SHD Sarah Aslam said that Vaccines for COVID-19 are available in abundance at all vaccination centers, so all citizens over the age of 18 must get vaccinated against the corona virus. People are also requested to take precautionary measures to protect themselves.
