Attack took place at 6:00am


Peshawar: A police post in the Urmar area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, was attacked with a hand grenade by unidentified militants in the early hours of the morning. The main gate of the post was partially damaged in the attack, but no casualties were reported.
According to SSP Operations Masood Bangash, the attack took place at 6:00am, after which the police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Security forces are conducting raids at various locations in search of suspects.
According to police officials, CCTV footage and other evidence are being collected to identify and arrest the attackers.
Peshawar has witnessed an increase in attacks on security forces in recent months, following which security has been tightened further in the city.
