India cited rush at ports and airports as reason for stopping transit facility

India and Bangladesh have imposed trade restrictions on each other.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), India has stopped the transit facility for Bangladesh, through which Bangladesh used to transport its exports from Indian ports and airports to third countries.
India cited a rush at ports and airports as the reason for stopping the transit facility.
On the other hand, in response to India's move, Bangladesh has banned the import of cotton yarn from India by road.
Bangladesh imposed this ban to protect local industries from cheap imported yarn.
