Brasília: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been transferred to a Sao Paulo hospital to undergo tests for an obstructed intestine, with the president's office saying he could receive emergency surgery.

As per details, Jair Bolsonaro’S doctor diagnosed him with an intestinal obstruction.
Earlier in the day, the former army captain had been admitted to an army hospital in the capital. His press office initially attributed his health problems to hiccups.
The president has been transferred to The Vila Nova Star hospital in Sao Paulo, where he would remain hospitalized initially under conservative management.
President’s son Flavio, speaking to radio station stated that his father had earlier in the day been moved to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Brasilia and intubated.
"He ended up being intubated to keep him from breathing in liquid coming from his stomach," Flavio Bolsonaro said in the interview.
It also caps days of questions over his health due to a chronic case of hiccups, a stubborn cough following a 2020 COVID-19 infection, and a series of surgeries after the campaign-trail stabbing shortly before his 2018
The 66-year-old had been complaining publicly about the hiccups following surgery on a dental implant on July 3.
