Anyone found violating the ban will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code

Peshawar: The deputy commissioner of Peshawar has imposed a 30-day ban on flying drones and quadcopters in the city due to security concerns, according to a notification issued on Monday.
The decision was taken in view of the current law and order situation in the region. The notification stated that the ban is necessary to maintain peace, prevent panic, and avoid any possible incidents caused by drone flights.
Authorities said flying drones could lead to confusion, chaos, or even be used for harmful activities. The ban, enforced under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, aims to protect sensitive areas, stop unauthorized surveillance, and prevent the aerial delivery of dangerous materials.
The order further stated that anyone found violating the ban will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Officials urged the public to cooperate with the temporary restriction for the sake of public safety.
