There is possibility of unusual rise in temperature in next few days


Lahore: Temperature rise and heat wave alert has been issued in Punjab.
The Director General of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners across the province to remain alert and said that all relevant departments, including the district administration, should be alert.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, there is a possibility of temperature rise and heat waves in major cities and plains from May 15 to 19.
The spokesperson said that there is a possibility of an unusual rise in temperature in the next few days, and the temperature will remain 4 to 7 degrees Celsius above normal by May 20.
According to the spokesperson, a westerly wind is likely to enter Punjab from the evening of May 19, due to which rain is expected in most districts of Punjab from May 19 to 20.
