Service will also connect neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman

Abu Dhabi: Etihad Rail, the Emirati train network connecting all seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, has announced that it will start passenger train services in 2026.
Unlike Dubai’s famous metro service, which only operates between different areas of Dubai, Etihad Rail will connect all seven emirates of the country and also connect neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman.
The project is going to start passenger services through stations in the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah.
According to Emirati officials, Etihad Train will provide fast, comfortable, and affordable travel in the UAE.
For people living in the UAE, this rail network will provide easy access to different emirates and hassle-free travel between Gulf countries.
Key Stations
Abu Dhabi: Stations near Khalifa City and Al Ruwais will connect residential, industrial, and Abu Dhabi Airport areas.
Dubai: The main station of the Etihad Train is expected to be near Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai Production City, providing easy access to major highways and residential communities.
Sharjah: The station near University City will cater to students and professionals and will be close to Sharjah Airport.
Fujairah: The station in the Sikkim area will connect the eastern region with the rest of the emirates.
