Temperature is likely to be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal


Peshawar: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an alert in view of the intense heat in the province.
According to the PDMA, intense heat is expected in the province from May 20 to 24, and an alert has been issued to all district administrations in this regard.
According to PDMA, the temperature is likely to be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal during the day, and dusty, strong winds are also a risk, while there is also a possibility of heatstroke.
PDMA officials say that people should be kept aware of the heat wave through an awareness campaign. The elderly and children should not go out directly in the sun from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
PDMA officials say that the speedy snow melting in the upper areas is possible.
