Lahore: Six members of a family were killed after the roof of their two-storey house collapsed in Wassanpura locality of Shad Bagh on Thursday, police and Rescue 1122 said.

The victims identified as Rizwan Aslam, 35, Mehwish Ramzan, 30, Ibrahin Ramzan, 8, Manhil Ramzan, 5, and Sumera Aslam, 55, and Rabia Aslam, 18.
The bodies were shifted to Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital.
Police said told GNN that two brothers Ali and Usman had been living in the two-storey single room hosue. The lintel-made roof first collapsed and then the lower roof made of beam also caved in, leaving the members of both families trapped inside the debris.
According to Rescue 1122, as many 35 rescuers took part in the rescue operation, retrieved six bodies from the debris after three-hour struggle.
