Lahore: After a lapse of 12 days, India's Border Security Force (BSF) finally resumed the traditional beating retreat parade at the Wagah-Attari border on Monday.
The suspension of parade by Indian side prompted by heightened tensions between Pakistan and India.
The parade, which was temporarily halted by the BSF on May 7, had continued uninterrupted on the Pakistani side, with Punjab Rangers maintaining their daily ceremonial performance.
Both Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) and BSF carried out their usual parade routines on Monday. However, the border gates remained closed throughout the ceremony, and no handshake took place between the personnel of the two countries.
