Indian airlines have lost Rs8 billion due to closure of airspace

Lahore: It has been decided to keep Pakistani airspace closed for Indian flights for another month.
Pakistan had closed its airspace for Indian flights for one month on April 24 due to tensions between the two countries after the Pahalgam attack.
According to media reports, Indian airlines have lost Rs8 billion in a month due to the closure of the airspace.
It is also reported that Indian airlines had to bear an additional cost of Rs5 billion on fuel alone in a month.
The media reports suggest that long-haul Indian flights had to bear a separate cost of Rs3 billion on stopovers.
It has been decided to keep Pakistani airspace closed for Indian flights for another month.
