US-based Pakistani mountaineer Dr Shehla successfully scaled Kanchenjunga on Sunday

Two Pakistani climbers have successfully scaled the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, and the world’s third-highest peak, Kanchenjunga, located in Nepal at 8,586 meters, reportedly.
According to Alpine Club of Pakistan Secretary Qarar Haideri, Wajidullah Nagri from Gilgit-Baltistan reached the summit of Mount Everest on Monday. He reached the highest point on earth with renowned mountaineer Ang Tashi Sherpa.
Qarar Haideri congratulated Wajidullah Nagri on this remarkable achievement and said that this achievement is a symbol of courage, patience, and an unbreakable human spirit.
He added that this moment is a source of pride for Pakistan and is an inspiration for mountaineers around the world.
Wajidullah hails from Nagar district and was part of the Pioneer Adventure expedition. Earlier, he had also successfully scaled K2, Broad Peak, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II.
On the other hand, US-based Pakistani mountaineer Dr Shehla Sheikh successfully scaled Kanchenjunga on Sunday.
The peak is considered the most dangerous of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks due to its technical complexity and extremely bad weather.
Dr Shehla Sheikh confirmed that she had safely descended, while also claiming that she was the first Pakistani woman to climb Kanchenjunga. She said that she regularly visits Pakistan for adventure tourism.
Shehla Sheikh stated that she completed the K2 Base Camp trek for the first time in 2022, after which she scaled Spantak and other peaks.
“We are pleased to announce that US-based Pakistani mountaineer Dr Shehla has successfully scaled the world’s third-highest mountain, Kanchenjunga, at 8,586 m (28,169 ft) above sea level, on Sunday,” said Qarar Haideri, secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, in a statement.
He added that Dr Shehla Sheikh’s feat reflects the growing presence of Pakistani mountaineers, especially women, globally. He said that as a physician and adventurer, Dr Shehla Sheikh continues to inspire others through her scientific and research commitment.
