Google unveils next-gen smart glasses with Gemini AI and Android XR
These smart glasses can be connected to a smartphone to access apps

(Web Desk): A few years ago, Google introduced its smart glasses, Google Glass, which failed to gain public attention and were eventually discontinued.
Now, a decade later, Google has once again stepped into the smart glasses space.
During the company’s annual developer conference, these new smart glasses were unveiled, equipped with the Android XR operating system and Gemini AI.
According to the company, these smart glasses can be connected to a smartphone to access apps.
They also feature built-in speakers, while an optical in-lens display has been provided for viewing information.
Compared to the previous Google Glass, the newly developed smart glasses have a much better appearance.
During the conference, the features of these glasses were demonstrated — for example, they can perform real-time English translation.
Additionally, the glasses, currently referred to as XR Glasses, also demonstrated the functionality of the Gemini Assistant.
The company has partnered with two firms for the glasses' frames. For now, these glasses are not being released to the general public but are undergoing testing.
