Karachi: Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal has decided to pardon fans who appeared in front of his house and reportedly attacked him.

Earlier this week, the 31-year old cricketer filed charges against four people who he accused had assaulted him at his house.
The middle-order batsman had filed an FIR against the alleged attackers in Police Station Defence B, which resulted in their arrest. However, Pakistani cricketer’s lawyer informed media that they will not challenge the suspects' request for bail.
The cricket player also plans to withdraw petition he earlier filed in the court.
A few days earlier, four fans of Akmal appeared in front of his residence in Lahore to get his autograph but the situation got worse when a heated exchange took place between his fans and him. The cricketer then filed a case against the suspected attackers.
The cricketer had called the police to his house after which they were arrested.
Akmal has been on and off on headlines following the charges against him in 2020 for refusing to reveal the match fixing spots that were made to him, at the beginning of the fifth Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition.
PCB has declared that Akmal would now be permitted to participate after the completion of the rehabilitation program.
