China unveils 5G satellite tech for direct smartphone video calls
This 5G satellite will function similarly to internet signals but will not rely on mobile network signals

(Web Desk): Chinese experts have introduced a groundbreaking 5G satellite technology that enables direct video calls via smartphones, surpassing global counterparts in the field.
According to a Chinese news website, the new 5G satellite technology has been successfully tested by a Chinese company established to compete with the American firm SpaceX in the areas of satellites, broadband, and internet technologies.
Chinese scientists have named this new innovation the "Non-Terrestrial Network" (NTN), which allows regular smartphones to make video calls without requiring any special hardware or software.
This 5G satellite will function similarly to internet signals but will not rely on mobile network signals. The new technology is being considered a potential alternative to traditional internet services.
However, the developers acknowledge that there are several legal challenges to launching this technology. They anticipate potential bans from the United States and expect to face regulatory hurdles in other countries as well.
