Saudi Arabia has introduced a new framework aimed at preventing the misuse of diplomatic shipments

Riyadh: Saudi authorities have denied reports circulating about plans to allow the sale of alcohol in the Kingdom.
According to Arab media, citing Saudi sources, these claims have not been confirmed by any official body and do not reflect the Kingdom’s current policies or laws.
Arab media further reported that the sources clarified the new regulations concerning alcohol in relation to non-Muslim diplomats. Saudi Arabia has introduced a new framework aimed at preventing the misuse of diplomatic shipments.
The sources added that under this framework, embassies of non-Muslim countries are no longer permitted to import alcohol or other prohibited items through diplomatic shipments. However, limited access may be allowed under specific regulations to prevent misuse.
