Bagheri was serving as the head of Branch 102 of Criminal Court 2 in Shiraz

(Web Desk): In the Iranian city of Shiraz, a well-known Iranian judge, Ehsan Bagheri, was stabbed to death by unknown assailants while on his way to work.
According to the official news agency IRNA, 38-year-old Judge Ehsan Bagheri was killed on Monday morning after being attacked by two individuals. The attackers used either a knife or a heavy object, though the exact nature of the weapon has not been confirmed.
Bagheri was serving as the head of Branch 102 of Criminal Court 2 in Shiraz. The head of the provincial judiciary, Seyyed Sadrullah Rajaei Nasab, confirmed the incident and said that an investigation has been launched.
Iran’s Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni has ordered a nationwide search operation to immediately apprehend the suspects.
It is worth noting that in January, two senior judges, Ali Razini and Mohammad Moqiseh, were also shot dead in their offices in Tehran. Although no official link has been established between the incidents so far, the repeated attacks have raised serious concerns about the security arrangements for members of Iran’s judiciary.
