Pakistan scored 201 runs for loss of 7 wickets


Lahore: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 37 runs in the first T20 International, securing a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
In the first T20 match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan scored 201 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, thanks to the aggressive batting of Hassan Nawaz and Shadab Khan.
In pursuit of the target, Hassan Ali showed brilliant bowling and took 5 wickets and bundled out the visiting team for 164 runs in the last over.
Pakistan batting
National team captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and decided to bat first. Both Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman, who opened the innings, proved unsuccessful and returned to the pavilion for zero and one run respectively.
However, the middle-order batsmen showed responsibility and played an aggressive game, with Muhammad Haris playing an innings of 31 runs off 18 balls.
Captain Salman Ali Agha scored 56 runs off 34 balls, Hassan Nawaz managed to score 44 runs off 22 balls, his innings included 4 sixes and 2 fours.
Vice-captain Shadab Khan played an innings of 48 runs off 25 balls, which included 2 sixes and 5 fours, while Khushdil Shah scored 5 and Faheem Ashraf scored 11 runs.
For Bangladesh, Sharaf-ul-Islam took 2 wickets, Mehdi Hassan, Hassan Mohammad, Tanzeem Hassan Saqib, Rashad Hossain, and Shamim Hossain took one wicket each.
Bangladesh batting
Chasing the target, the visiting team suffered its first loss in the second over for a total score of 14 runs. Opening batsman Parvez Hossain was dismissed for 4 runs.
For Bangladesh, captain Liton Das was outstanding by scoring 48 runs, Zakir Ali 36, Tanzeed Hassan 31, and Tohid Hardoi scored 17 runs while Parvez Hossain, Shamim Hossain, and Rashad Hossain scored 4 runs each, Hassan Mahmood scored 9, and Sharif-ul-Islam scored 5 runs.
For Pakistan, Hassan Ali dismissed 5 players while Shadab Khan took 2, Faheem Ashraf, Salman Ali Agha, and Khushdil Shah managed to take one wicket each.
The national team's aggressive opening batsmen, Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman, have returned, while Hassan Ali has made a comeback to the team after a long time.
