Hajj rituals begin today, pilgrims to arrive Mina before Zuhr

Mecca: The Hajj rituals are starting today. Millions of pilgrims from all over the world will reach Mina before noon and will stay there until Thursday morning, and will be busy with worship.

Today, the pilgrims will perform two rakats of Nafl prayer after donning Ihram from their residences and leave for Mina.

The Hajj pilgrims will offer Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers in Mina today. The pilgrims will leave for Arafat on Dhul-Hijjah 9 for the main pillar of Hajj, Wukuf.

After listening to the Hajj sermon on Dhul-Hijjah 9, the pilgrims will offer Zuhr and Asr prayers and will stand in the Arafat plain until sunset.

After the Maghrib call to prayer, the pilgrims will leave for Muzdalifah from the Arafat plain without offering prayers. In Muzdalifah, the pilgrims will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers together.

In Muzdalifah, the pilgrims will collect pebbles to hit the devil, and then will spend the night under the open sky in Muzdalifah. On Dhul-Hijjah 10, after standing in Muzdalifah, they will leave for the stoning.

Then the pilgrims will throw seven pebbles at the great devil and sacrifice the animals. The pilgrims will remove their ihram after shaving their heads.

On Dhul-Hijjah 11, the pilgrims will throw seven pebbles at the small, medium, and great devils. After the stoning of the Jamarat, the pilgrims will leave for the Tawaf of the Kaaba, and after the Tawaf of the Jamarat, the pilgrims will make the Sa’i of Safa and Marwa.

On Dhul-Hijjah 11, after the sunset, the three devils will be stoned. On Dhul-Hijjah 13, after the stoning of the Jamarat, the pilgrims will leave for their residence from Mina.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Pakistani pilgrims have received 442 buses from a Saudi government company, while the Pakistan Hajj Mission has received 510 additional buses from a private company.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs says that 25,861 pilgrims will depart by buses during the Mushaira. 62,000 Pakistani pilgrims will travel to the Mushaira by train.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, a four-kilometer route will be covered on foot through tunnels to the Haram from Thursday. Pakistani pilgrims will also be able to use the Saudi shuttle service to the Haram from Thursday.
