Khalil-ur-Rehman calls Mahira ‘favorite’ actress

Lahore: Famous TV drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has said that Mahira Khan is his favorite actress, and all the differences he had with her in the past have ended.

Khalil recently participated in a podcast, where he openly discussed various topics.

In response to a question, he said: “I find people who lie bad and also those who differentiate between the rich and the poor. According to me, the real poor are those who have low character”.

He stated that if a person has millions of rupees in his bank account but lacks good character, he is poor. He also considers those poor who earn unlawfully.

The writer added that he was not fond of writing, but he was a born writer. He has been earning through this art since the age of 13, and for this reason, he was beaten many times by his father, because he wanted him to become a high-ranking officer.

Explaining the famous dialogue ‘Do Takay Ki Aurat’ from the drama serial ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar said that people criticized it without reason, although this dialogue was specifically for a specific girl, not for all women.

Talking about Mahira Khan, he said that recently, Mahira said that if she had any problem with him, she should have called and talked to him. When he heard this, he was very sad, because he respected her a lot, and she did the same for me.

He further said that even if she had called and scolded him, he would have lovingly told her what the real purpose behind his words was.

He added that when he came to know that Mahira regretted her tweet, he sent her a message that all his disputes with her are over.

The well-known writer said that Mahira was and is his favorite actress, which is why he was angry at her words.

The differences between Khalil and actress Mahira have been under discussion for a long time. These differences started in 2020 when Khalil-ur-Rehman used foul language about social activist Marvi Sarmad during a TV show, for which Mahira condemned him on X (formerly Twitter), after which a rift developed between the two.

However, recently Mahira Khan spoke about her dispute with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar on Ahmed Ali Butt's podcast and said that she regrets her reaction and she should have spoken to Khalil directly, and not expressed her opinion on social media.
