Prime Minister expressed his desire to visit Malaysia later this year


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had telephonic conversations with Tajik President Emomali and Malaysian counterpart Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim on Eid-ul-Adha, during which the leaders congratulated each other on Eid.
According to the details, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to the Tajik President and government for their hospitality during his visit to Dushanbe in a telephonic conversation with Tajik President Emomali.
He congratulated him on successfully holding the International Conference on Glacier Protection while appreciating Tajikistan’s balanced stance in the Pakistan-India tension.
He clarified that Pakistan has always tried to promote peace and security in the region and agreed to a ceasefire against India through the mediation of the US and friendly countries.
The Prime Minister also reiterated the invitation to the Tajik President to pay an official visit to Pakistan soon.
On the other hand, in a telephonic conversation between the Prime Minister and his Malaysian counterpart Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim, both leaders congratulated each other on Eid-ul-Adha.
The leaders prayed for unity, prosperity of the Muslim Ummah, and peace and security for the oppressed Palestinians, while Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Malaysia’s balanced and principled stance on the Pakistan-India tension.
The Prime Minister told his Malaysian counterpart that Pakistan desired peace and stability in the region, and timely and decisive action was essential in response to India’s provocative military actions.
He said that Pakistan was ready for meaningful talks with India on all outstanding issues, including Kashmir. The Prime Minister expressed his desire to visit Malaysia later this year.
