Estimated market value of these sacrificial hides is around Rs6.35bn

(Web Desk): Around 7 million animal hides are expected to be collected from across the country during Eid-ul-Adha.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Tanners Association, the estimated market value of these sacrificial hides is around Rs6.35 billion.
It is projected that approximately 3 million hides will be collected from cows, bulls, and heifers; 1,700 from buffaloes; and around 3.465 million from goats.
Additionally, hides from about 400,000 sheep and nearly 100,000 camels are expected to be collected.
The average market price for cow, bull, and heifer hides is estimated at Rs1,575 each, while buffalo hides are expected to fetch Rs1,680.
This year, tanneries are expected to purchase goat hides for Rs450 and camel hides for Rs580.
