According to police, in the Muradwal area of Mandi Bahauddin, the woman murdered her 8-year-old daughter to pursue a second marriage and then staged a drama of her abduction.
Police stated that the mother has confessed to the crime, and further investigation is underway.
According to police, the girl had gone missing two days ago, and her body was found in a field yesterday. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident.
