Death sentence is upheld and rape sentence is commuted to life imprisonment

Islamabad: The Supreme Court has issued a written decision to uphold the death sentence of convict Zahir Jafar in the Noor Muqaddam murder case.
In its detailed decision issued in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, the Supreme Court said that the decisions of both the lower courts are unanimously declared correct. Zahir is not worthy of sympathy; he is the ruthless killer of Noor Muqaddam.
The court decision has stated that the CCTV video, DVR, and hard disk of the physical violence on Noor Muqaddam by the convict are admissible evidence, while no alteration in the video recording has been proven, and the identity of the accused has been confirmed.
