Authorities investigate the accident amid rising calls for improved road safety

(Web Desk): A tragic road accident occurred near Karachi’s Drigh Road in the early hours of Tuesday when a speeding sand-laden dumper truck overturned onto a car, killing a woman and a child and injuring two others.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene after being alerted and transported the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals for medico-legal procedures and treatment.
Initial reports indicate that the car was crushed under the heavy dumper, leading to the fatalities. Shahid Hussain, a representative of a local welfare organization present at the site, confirmed that the accident happened around 3:15 a.m. during a dangerous race between dumper trucks.
Speaking to the media, Hussain condemned the reckless driving and said the overturned dumper crushed a private car carrying a family. He stressed the urgent need for strict enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such deadly incidents.
Authorities continue their investigation into the accident as calls grow for better road safety measures.
