Mohammad Amin Shayesteh was arrested in late 2023

Tehran: Iran executed the head of the cyber team affiliated with Israel’s secret service, Mossad, Mohammad Amin Shayesteh, arrested in 2023.
The news agency Reuters reported, citing Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News, that Iran has executed a prisoner named Mohammad Amin Shayesteh, who was sentenced to death for collaborating with the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.
According to Tasnim, Mohammad Amin Shayesteh was arrested in late 2023 and was described as the head of a cyber team affiliated with Mossad.
Since the start of the Israeli attacks on June 13, Iranian authorities have executed at least 3 people for spying for Israel. Iran also executed a Mossad agent yesterday after the US attack on nuclear facilities.
The Iranian judiciary-affiliated news agency Mizan reported on Sunday that a man named Majid Moussibi was hanged this morning on charges of spying for Israel and attempting to provide sensitive information to its intelligence agency, Mossad.
According to Mizan, Majid Moussibi’s sentence was carried out after a full criminal investigation and the Supreme Court’s approval.
The Mizan report did not specify when Majid Moussibi was arrested, as Iran had also executed a Mossad spy last week.
The AFP news agency reported on June 16 that Iran’s judiciary said in a statement that a man arrested since 2023 had been hanged. The man was convicted of being an agent of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.
The judiciary’s official website, Mizan Online, said that Mossad agent Ismail Fikri had been convicted of serious crimes such as spreading mischief on earth and ‘war against God’.
