Qatar says intercepted Iranian attack on base housing US forces

(Web Desk): Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar was attacked “by short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles originating from Iran,” CNN reports quoting a US defence official.
“At this time, there are no reports of US casualties,” the official has said. “We are monitoring this situation closely and will provide more information as it becomes available.”
Iran’s Tasnim news agency has reported that a missile operation called “Annunciation of victory” has been launched against US bases in Iraq and Qatar, Reuters reports.

Trump says Iran gave US ‘early notice’ of Al Udeid attack
“I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done. Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system,’ and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE,” Trump said in a social media post.
“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured. Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.”

Trump killed affirmative action. His base might not like what comes next.
