Trump’s remarks spark intense backlash on social media and among the international community

(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has compared American airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities to the atomic bombings of the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.
According to international media reports, speaking at the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump stated, "We spent trillions of dollars to carry this out. Now, other NATO countries will also need to share the financial burden."
President Trump claimed that if the US had not attacked Iran, the war with Israel would still be ongoing. He noted that previous attempts to resolve the conflict had failed, but the recent US action succeeded.
He added, “I don’t want to invoke the example of Hiroshima — or Nagasaki — but essentially, the American strike was the very thing that ended the Iran-Israel war.”
Trump’s remarks have sparked intense backlash on social media and among the international community. Human rights organizations have especially condemned the comparison, calling it dangerous and irresponsible.
Taking credit for the Iran-Israel ceasefire, President Trump said, “I don’t think there will ever be a war between the two countries again. We have dismantled Iran’s nuclear capability.”
