Lahore: The Crime Control Department (CCD) claims to have killed six suspects in four alleged police encounters in a single day.

According to the CCD spokesperson, police encounters were conducted in Lahore, Kasur, Gojra, and Sheikhupura. A raid was conducted on the Kasur bypass on information about the presence of robbers.

During this, two robbers were killed in an exchange of fire with the police, while their accomplice escaped. Both robbers were wanted in more than 50 serious incidents.

The CCD spokesperson said that a raid was conducted in Gojra on information about the presence of proclaimed offenders. During this exchange of fire, two suspects were arrested in an injured condition. The arrested suspects were wanted in dozens of cases, including murder, robbery, extortion, and other crimes.

According to the spokesperson, when three suspicious people were stopped at a checkpoint in the Shahdara Town area of ​​Lahore, they opened fire. During this, the accused, who was injured by the firing of his accomplices, died on reaching the hospital. The dead robber was a record holder in robberies and banditry.

Furthermore, in an exchange of fire between police and robbers on Sargodha Road in Sheikhupura, a robber was killed and three of his accomplices escaped. The identity of the dead robber could not be ascertained while the search for the three escaped robbers is on.
