Department directs all districts to launch public awareness campaigns through health education teams

(Web Desk): A total of 65,116 cases of malaria have been reported across Sindh so far this year, according to a spokesperson for the Health Department.
In Karachi, 547 malaria cases have been recorded. The highest number of cases within the city — 211 — were reported from a single area.
Amid rising concerns over the spread of malaria and dengue in Karachi and across Sindh, the Health Department has ramped up emergency measures.
The department has directed all districts to launch public awareness campaigns through health education teams. It has also issued orders for immediate cleanup efforts, including the removal of garbage, old tires, plant pots, and open containers.
Regular inspections have been ordered in residential and commercial areas, parks, and plant nurseries to control the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.
