‘Sardar Ji 3’ breaks records with historic Rs45m opening in Pakistan
‘Sardar Ji 3’ even breaks first-day record of Salman Khan’s superhit film ‘Sultan’

(Web Desk): The latest offering from Indian Punjabi cinema, ‘Sardar Ji 3’, made a blockbuster debut in Pakistani cinemas by earning a historic Rs45 million on its very first day of release.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh, who has been a controversial figure in India, and Pakistani actress Hania Amir, the film has shattered all records not only of Indian but also local Punjabi films.
Interestingly, while the film is receiving overwhelming appreciation in Pakistan, it is facing cast-related controversies in India. Released globally on June 27, the unexpected success of this film has surprised the filmmakers as well. It even broke the first-day record of Salman Khan’s superhit film ‘Sultan’.
Despite issues like inflation and cinema closures, Pakistani audiences gave the film tremendous support, which is an encouraging sign for the country’s film industry. The film’s high-quality production, the charming pairing of Diljit and Hania, and the splendid portrayal of Punjabi culture attracted viewers to the cinemas.
Expressing her emotions over the film’s success in a video message, Hania Amir said, “Your love has taken ‘Sardar Ji 3’ to the heights of success. I am grateful to all my Pakistani fans.” Hania’s debut in Indian Punjabi cinema has earned her praise from critics.
