Karachi: The first dengue death has been reported in Sindh province this year.
According to the details, a dengue patient died at the Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital, which is the first dengue death in Sindh this year.
According to the hospital administration, the 24-year-old patient had been on a ventilator for 2 days and his platelets had dropped to 32,000.
The hospital administration says that the number of platelets in a healthy person ranges from 150,000 to 450,000.
On the other hand, the health department says that 295 cases of dengue have been reported across Sindh this year, out of which 260 were from Karachi.
