If you’re planning on traveling internationally this summer, Anker’s Nano Travel Adapter is one of the most essential — and probably cheapest — items you can pack to level up your vacation game. And right now, you can buy the new adapter at Amazon as a part of a lightning deal for just $21.99 ($4 off), which is the first discount we’ve seen. You can also pick it up directly from Anker for the same price when you use coupon code WS7DV2HHCTAI at checkout.
[Product: Anker Nano Travel Adapter (5-in-1, 20W) | https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Adapter-Temperature-Compatible-Countries/dp/B0DHVNW1CN/?tag=theverge02-20, https://go.skimresources.com/?id=1025X1701640&xs=1&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.anker.com%2Fproducts%2Fa9215%3Fvariant%3D44790594044054]
Designed with globetrotters in mind, Anker’s latest foldable adapter measures less than an inch thick. Despite its diminutive build, however, it features four plug types (Type A, C, G, and I), rendering it compatible in over 200 countries — including most of North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and parts of Asia. What’s more, it can charge up to five devices at once, offering one AC outlet, two USB-A ports, and a pair of USB-C ports that share 15W of power (it also offers a maximum 20W from a single USB-C port). Admittedly, that’s not enough to charge a laptop, but it’s sufficient for phones and other small electronics.
What’s also nice is that its two-pin to two-pin design adds an extra layer of safety to help prevent shocks when plugging in abroad. Bear in mind, though, it doesn’t convert voltage, meaning it’s not suitable for single-voltage devices like electric razors or curling irons. But if you want one small gadget that can handle your phone, Kindle, or camera, few travel adapters offer as much value, especially at this price.
Three more deals worth a look
* If you’re looking for a way to get your kids outside this summer, the Fitbit Ace LTE is matching its all-time low of $149.95 ($30 off) at Amazon and Walmart. The platform-agnostic watch offers fun, step-activated games and doubles as a Tamagotchi-style virtual companion with perks to encourage activity. It’s also practical, with built-in cellular connectivity that allows kids to call or text approved contacts and share their real-time location via Google Maps. Just keep in mind that these LTE-based features require a $9.99 monthly subscription. Read our hands-on impressions.
* The Alexa Voice Remote Pro is on sale at Amazon and Best Buy for $24.99 ($10 off), which is its best price to date. The excellent remote builds upon previous models with backlit buttons and a handy remote finder feature, so you can easily locate it using the Fire TV app or your voice (assuming you own a smart speaker). It also features customizable shortcut buttons and works with most Fire TV streaming devices and smart TVs. Read our review.
* Amazon is selling Govee’s 15-inch RGBIC TV Light Bars for $49.99 ($20 off), which is its best price to date. The kit includes two rotatable light bars that can be easily mounted behind TVs between 40 and 70 inches in size, allowing you to create a more immersive lighting experience. You don’t have to use the color-changing bars just with your TV, though; they’re also great for brightening up walls or setting the mood thanks to Govee’s app, which lets you customize colors, brightness levels, and other settings. Plus, they work with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control them using your voice.
