Rain emergency has been imposed

Islamabad/Rawalpindi: Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurred in Islamabad and Rawalpindi at night.
MD WASA Muhammad Saleem Ashraf says that WASA Rawalpindi is on high alert and a rain emergency has been imposed; the staff is in the field with heavy machinery.
Flight operations were affected due to rain in Islamabad. The arrival and departure of five flights from Islamabad Airport were delayed.
The highest rainfall of 34 mm was recorded in Attock during the last 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in some places of Islamabad, Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir today.
The weather is expected to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country.
