New tax rates has been implemented from July 1


Islamabad: The government has issued a notification reducing tax rates on more than 40 items.
According to the notification, the regulatory duty on mobile phone SIM cards has been reduced from 15 to 12 percent, while the duty on new cars and mini-vans has been reduced from one-third to 10 percent.
According to the notification, the duty on imported SUVs has been reduced by 44 percent to 50 percent, the regulatory duty on poultry and fish has been reduced to 5 percent, bird eggs from 15 percent to 10 percent, dog and cat food reduced by 5 percent to 40 percent, and the duty on instant coffee in retail packs has been reduced by 5 percent.
In addition, the duty on tobacco has been reduced by 40 percent, duty on dates, coconuts, Brazil nuts, and cashews has been reduced by 16 percent. Duty on figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, and mangoes has been reduced by 20 percent, and duty on papaya and apples has been reduced from 45 percent to 36 percent.
According to the notification, the regulatory duty on nuts has been reduced by 4 percent, frozen fish has been halved to 17.5 percent, while the duty on cheese and yogurt imports has been reduced from 10 percent to 50 percent.
According to the notification, the reduction in tax rates has been implemented from July 1.
