Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police has decided to make helmets mandatory for both persons riding a motorcycle.
According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Zeeshan Haider, it will be mandatory for both men and women riding a motorcycle to wear helmets.
The decision to wear helmets will be implemented after a two-week awareness campaign. First, citizens will be made aware of the importance of double helmets, he said.
The CTO stated that after two weeks, fines will be imposed on motorcyclists who do not wear double helmets. Using a helmet can save lives in the event of an accident.
