He stated that he will always be a part of Pakistan cricket and that he is leaving without any disappointment or regret.
According to media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) contract with Muhammad Masroor was series-to-series, and now the PCB has decided to make new appointments in the support staff.
It is also reported that Shane McDermott is likely to be given the responsibilities of fielding coach, and Grant Loudon is likely to be given the responsibilities of strength and conditioning coach.
The reports suggest that the former fast bowler Umar Gul is likely to be given responsibilities with Pakistani players, and the PCB will make an official announcement regarding the new appointments soon.
It is pertinent to note that the PCB had advertised for coaches in the support staff. The PCB intends to include foreign coaches in the support staff. Only foreign coaches are included in the PCB's shortlist. The Pakistan Cricket Board has shortlisted Shaun McDermott and Grant Lowden.
