Murder of ambassador's daughter: Accused was in his 'complete' senses, weapon seized: SSP
Islamabad: Police on Thursday recovered the murder weapon used in the killing of a former ambassador's daughter Noor Muqaddam and sent it and blood strains for DNA matching with the accused's blood.

Noor, 28, was found murdered at a hosue in sector F 7/4 a couple of days back.
SSP Invetsigation Attaur Rehman told a presser that the accused was arrested from the crime scene and that he was "sound and in his complete senses" at the time of arrest.
He said the investigators had seized a knife besides a pistol but it's (pistol) bullet was found stuck in the chamber.
He said police investigation team recorded statements of parents of both Noor and accused Zahir and their servants. Police said the criminal record of Zahir Shah is being checked.
The SSP said all necessray evidence has been collected from the crime scene, adding the vicitm was not present at her residence for two days.
The SSP said the Inspector General of Islamabad police gave a visit to the crime scene and formed an investigation team.
He said there is no eyewitness of the incident, adding a local resident however alerted the police about the incident.
Police investigations showed that Zahir attacked another person, but he was overpowered and was tied till the police reached the scene, the SSP said, adding interrogations were underway to know about the motive for the murder.
To a quetsion, the police officer said police found no proof that Zahir has been suffering from mental disorder. Injured Amjad is still getting treatment at hospital, he added.
The officer dispelled some vague news circulating in social media, adding police would make all-out efforts to get Zahir Shah indicted in the murder case irrespective of the fact that whether or not he recorded his 'confession statement'.
