Diljit and Hania’s ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ shines at overseas box office

(Web Desk): Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and Indian Punjabi cinema superstar Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is making remarkable strides at the international box office, steadily moving toward success.

According to reports, the film earned Rs33.6 crore in just its first week after release and is now only Rs16.4 crore away from reaching the significant milestone of Rs50 crore.

Due to tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident, the film could not be released in India. The reason for this ban was the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. However, this restriction did not hinder the film's journey to success. Sardaar Ji 3 received an overwhelming response from audiences overseas, including in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Pakistan. Even Indian-origin viewers abroad have praised the film highly.

In its first week, the film made a total business of Rs33.6 crore — a number film analysts consider very impressive. It has performed particularly well in North America, while its screening in Pakistan is also ongoing with success. Thanks to positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, the film is expected to continue attracting audiences in the coming weeks.

For a Punjabi film, reaching Rs50 crore at the box office is no small feat. Given its current momentum, Sardaar Ji 3 is expected to hit this milestone soon. The film was produced on a budget of Rs35 crore, and its success overseas has already made it profitable from an investment standpoint. Experts believe that had the film been released in India, it could have reached a global box office total of Rs100 crore.

Sardaar Ji 3 is directed by Amar Hundal and produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and Diljit Dosanjh. The story was written by Dheeraj Rattan and Manilla Rattan. The film was released in theaters on June 27, 2025, and stars Diljit Dosanjh alongside Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, and Hania Aamir in key roles.
