Parents are encouraged to complete routine immunizations to protect children from polio and other diseases

(Web Desk): A polio campaign is being launched from July 14 to 18 in Diamer and three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the National EOC, the campaign will also be initiated in Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, and Kolai-Palas. During this special polio campaign, the target is to administer drops to over 158,000 children.
According to the statement issued by the National EOC, a focused and effective strategy is being adopted with special attention to high-risk union councils. Parents are urged to ensure that their children receive polio drops every time they are offered.
Furthermore, parents are encouraged to complete routine immunizations to protect children from polio and other diseases. The polio vaccine is an effective means of protecting children from lifelong disability.
The organization also appealed to the community to fully cooperate with polio teams.
