Funeral of actress Humaira Asghar to be held at Governor House
‘If her family does not wish to participate in funeral and burial, I am ready to take full responsibility and cover all expenses from my own pocket’

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that he will bear all expenses for the funeral prayers and burial of actress Humaira Asghar.
The actress was found dead in her apartment in Defence Phase 6, Karachi. In response, Governor Sindh stepped in and made it clear: “My sister was not abandoned. I will personally cover all the expenses for her burial.”
He added, “Just like any other citizen of Sindh, I consider Humaira Asghar Ali my sister. If her family does not wish to participate in the funeral and burial, I am ready to take full responsibility and cover all expenses from my own pocket.”
Kamran Tessori stated that Humaira Asghar’s funeral prayers will be held at Governor House, for which he has already given instructions to the Imam. He also directed his team to make the necessary arrangements for the funeral and burial, emphasizing once again that all costs will be paid by him personally.
He concluded by saying, “We know the value of the honor and dignity of our mothers, sisters, and daughters. It is a question for our society when a young daughter’s body has no family to bury her.”
