Lahore: A stormy spell of monsoon rains has hit many cities in Punjab, including Lahore.
In the provincial capital, rain was reported in areas including Mall Road, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Data Darbar, Islampura, Davis Road, and Laxmi Chowk. The heat wave was alleviated by cold winds. However, the power supply was suspended in many areas due to feeder shutdowns.
Heavy rain fell in Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur, Kandian, and Kalur Kot. The Meteorological Department predicted heavy rains in different areas until July 17.
