PM Shehbaz vows to prioritise reforms, structural overhauls for economic growth
Praises "Uraan Pakistan-Summer Scholars" internship program as a commendable initiative


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed Government's commitment to prioritize reforms and structural overhauls for a robust economic turnaround.
He was addressing a group of Pakistani students, who are getting education in world leading educational institutes and selected for government’s internship summer scholars programme of Uraan Pakistan in Islamabad on Saturday.
The Prime Minister praised "Uraan Pakistan-Summer Scholars" internship program as a commendable initiative.
He expressed the confidence that experience of the selected students over the coming months would help them understand the complexities and challenges of governance.
He said federal government has launched Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, which will be used to support high-quality education for youth.
On climate change, Prime Minister said Pakistan is among the ten vulnerable countries affected by its hazardous impacts. He said Pakistan suffered thirty billion dollars losses caused by the 2022 floods.
Commenting on recent Pakistan-India tensions, he said Pakistan offered an investigation, but India did not respond.
The prime minister praised the armed forces for showing their professional capabilities and courage, saying Pakistan won the conventional war.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan's nuclear program is solely for self-defense and not aggression.
